You know you are a diehard skier or snowboarder when it is April and you are still thinking about squeezing in another few days of downhill delight. Some resorts are staying open until mid-May.
The 2023–24 ski season started slow but picked up momentum and is ending with spring storms both East and West. That includes blizzard conditions at Mammoth that dumped more than two feet of snow the first week in April, while I was there.
Here are the closing dates of top resorts Utah, Colorado, Idaho and Vermont with the most current information on April 8, when this was posted.
