The best late night TV shows are taped in New York City, and tickets are FREE. Here’s how to get tickets to The Late Show with Seth Myers.
Be aware that demand for tickets may be soaring since President Trump has demanded Myers be fired for ongoing roasts.
Some rules first –
Dress appropriately, since you might be on TV during audience shots. All late night TV shows reserve the right to deny you admission, even with a ticket, if you are dressed inappropriately for TV or appear to be “under the influence”.
ecoXplorer Insider Tip:
- As a former TV News reporter (for WABC-TV Eyewitness News in NYC), Evelyn Kanter knows that that TV studios are normally kept cold, between 55 and 65 degrees, to compensate for the hot lights.
- So this word of advice – bring a sweater or light jacket with you.
Expect airport-like security for some shows, including showing a valid photo ID with proof of age. Also expect to show proof of Covid vaccination.
Tickets to shows taped in NYC are FREE. Anybody who wants to sell you tickets to a late night TV show is scamming you.
Phones, tablets and other recording devices are permitted, but may not used during a taping.
You will be ejected from the audience for using an electronic device for any reason during a taping. Save your selfies or texting for before or after the taping.
Perhaps most important, there is no guarantee of admission even with a ticket, so do not book airline tickets based on attending a TV show taping.
Nobody under the age of 16 is permitted into a taping, even when accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Checking In
Most tapings begin at 4:00pm, with check-in from 2:00pm – 2:45pm. Some tapings begin at 6:30pm, with check-in from 4:45pm – 5:30pm. Occasionally, there are other start times, so be sure to consult your reservation for your check-in time.
Late Night with Seth Meyers typically tapes two shows on Monday, one show on Wednesday and one show on Thursday.
To claim your tickets on the day of the taping, you and your guest(s) should arrive at 30 Rockefeller Plaza using the 50 West 50th Street entrance and proceed up the Grand Stair to the check-in desk. Please arrive no earlier than the suggested arrival time on your 1iota confirmation.
Tickets are released on a first-come, first-served basis with regard to arrivals, as 1iota confirmations may be in excess of studio capacity. It is very rare that the show cannot accommodate all of our reservations, but, if you are turned away, you will receive communication on how to attend a future taping.
If you arrive after the check-in time you forfeit your reservation and will not receive a credit on 1iota.
If you have any questions, please email tickets@latenightseth.com
If you need to cancel your reservation e-ticket, you should log in to your 1iota account and decline your tickets. A 24 hour notice is required to give your reserved tickets to someone on the waitlist. If you do not decline your tickets and do not make the show, your absence will be reflected on your account and affect future requests.
Attendees can expect the entire experience, from check-in to the end of the show, to last approximately three hours. The actual taping is approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
Most tapings end by 5:15pm. You must be at least sixteen (16) years of age to attend a taping, even when a parent or guardian is present.
You must present a valid photo ID (date of birth must be visible) at the time of check-in to attend a taping. There will be no exceptions to this policy.
Groups larger than four (4) people will not be admitted. Reservations that have been obtained under separate names/1iota accounts to accommodate a group larger than four (4) people may be considered invalid. The validity of those reservations will be decided at the discretion of an Audience Coordinator.
Due to the limited number of tapings per season, individuals cannot attend more than one show taping within a four-month period.
Cell phones and cameras must be powered down. Any cellphone use, photography, or videography after this time may result in ejection from the Studio.
No backpacks, luggage, large shopping bags, promotional items, mace, spray bottles, food, drink, or weapons of any kind will be permitted in the Peacock Lounge or Studio. However, bottled water is permitted.
All audience members will go through a metal detector and a bag search prior to entering the Peacock Lounge.
If you are considered to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, a threat, or otherwise unfit, you will not be permitted inside the Studio.
Guests with disabilities are encouraged to request accommodations as soon as possible so that we have enough time to provide the necessary accommodations.
Requesting Tickets for Future Dates
