How to Get FREE Tickets to The Daily Show with Top Comedy Stars

Trevor Noah smiling in a composite with graphics of his TV program The Daily Show

The news that Trevor Noah was leaving The Daily Show created renewed interest in tickets to all late night TV shows taped in NYC, especially his. Here’s how to get them.

He has left the program at the end of 2022 after seven years, to return to stand-up comedy and other projects, and is being replaced by a rotating group of funny men and funny women.

Scam Alert –

  • Tickets to shows taped in NYC are FREE. That includes The Daily Show
  • Anybody who wants to sell you tickets to a late night TV show is scamming you.

Some rules first –

Dress appropriately, since you might be on TV during audience shots. All shows reserve the right to deny you admission, even with a ticket, if you are dressed inappropriately or appear to be “under the influence”.

ecoXplorer Insider Tip:

  • As a former TV News reporter (for WABC-TV Eyewitness News in NYC), Evelyn Kanter knows that that TV studios are normally kept cold, between 55 and 65 degrees, to compensate for the hot lights.
  • So this word of advice – bring a sweater or light jacket with you.

Expect airport-like security for some shows, including showing a valid photo ID with proof of age.  Also expect to show proof of Covid vaccination for entry.

Phones, tablets and other recording devices are permitted, but may not used during a taping.  You will be ejected from the audience for using an electronic device for any reason during a taping.  Save your selfies or texting for before or after the taping.

Perhaps most important, there is no guarantee of admission even with a ticket, so do not book airline tickets based on attending a TV show taping.

How to Get Tickets to The Daily Show

He announced recently that he is leaving the show after seven years, but no final date has been announced.

The website to request tickets is also 1iota.  Available dates are listed a week up to 30 days ahead.  Your best chance for tickets is to request the furthest dates out.

The Daily Show with Trevor Noah is taped at the studio located at 733 11th Avenue, on the corner of 52nd Street and 11th Avenue

You should arrive at least 45 minutes before the taping time on your e-ticket.

Ticket-holders are admitted first come, first serve until capacity is reached. Since more tickets are issued than there are seats in the studio, those on the end of the line might not get in, despite having an e-ticket.

Bring a valid ID along with your e-ticket for admission.

Your entire party must be present at the time of check-in to be admitted.
