Last Chance for 2024/25 Ikon Pass Before Sales End

If you haven’t already purchased your Ikon Pass for the 2024/25 ski/snowboard season now underway, do it now before sales end on Dec. 17.

The Ikon Pass gives you 58 destinations across the USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Japan, plus discounts on heli-skiing and gear and services from top outdoor clothing and travel brands.

Depending on which pass type you buy, you get 4, 5 or 6 days at each destination.  And there are various upgrades for additional days at more resorts, and also regional passes and discounts for groups like Military and Seniors.

The other major multi-destination pass – the Epic Pass – goes off sale for the season on Dec. 2.

Don’t wait for the last minute, since the website and the toll-free #800 will be jammed with other procrastinators.

Season passes are always least expensive in Spring –  that’s when I bought my Ikon Pass – and go up again around Memorial Day, and again in Autumn, until they go off sale.

If you blow it, you’ll be paying pricey rates for daily lift tickets or a four-pack or five-pack.

The renewal discount also expired in May, so returning pass holders no longer get that $100 or $50 break.  First-time buyers lost the chance to use the 2024/2025 pass for the rest of the 2024 season, which lasted until June at some resorts..

New This Season

The price now includes  Schweitzer, Idaho, which Ikon Pass parent company Alterra Mountain Co. purchased recently, and up to seven days at 39 more resorts worldwide.

New for this winter, Taos has moved off of the Ikon Base and available only on the full Ikon Pass and the Ikon Base Plus.  Also new is that Taos is no longer requiring reservations.

Deer Valley, which just announced a massive expansion that will take place over the next few seasons, will require reservations this winter.

Reservations are now open for Deer Valley and other Ikon Pass resorts which require them.
