Fall travel deals: Autumn brings cooler temperatures and hotter travel deals. 

Along with the leaves, prices are dropping at several hotel chains around the US, Canada and the Caribbean, including special discounts for seniors and military.

Here are some of the best fall travel deals, whether you are chasing fall foliage, food and wine festivals, or tailgating at a favorite school football game.

Red Roof

Get a wide range of discounts when you book directly through the website or the toll-free telephone number.

Red Roof guarantees the lowest online rate, and if you find a lower rate for the same room on one of the booking sites, they’ll match that lower rate and give you enough RediPoints reward points for a   free night on a future booking.   The chain is also pet friendly.

Alaska Airlines has a Wander Your Way Sweepstakes for the chance to win the grand prize of 100,000 miles and $2,500. Three first prize winners will receive 20,000 miles each.

You have to be a member of the airline’s mileage program, called Mileage Plan, which is free to join.
