Airline Dress Codes: Cracking Down on Inappropriate Dress

Depending on the airline you are flying, you could be denied boarding for wearing revealing tank tops or crop tops, shorts, t-shirts with political or sexual messages or four-letter words, low-hanging pants that show underwear or a butt crack, low necklines that show too much cleavage, even flip-flops. Here are the airline dress code rules you need to know.

Frontier Adds Friends Fly Free Deal to New Perks, $39 Fares

Frontier is making a blatant pitch to customers of rival Southwest who are unhappy about its new checked baggage fees and other changes. Frontier is promoting it free perks, which include free carry-on, free seat selection and free flight changes and fares as low as $39, in a cheeky new ad campaign called “Your New Love”, which promotes “divorce your old airline deal”.

Southwest Ending Free Checked Bags Policy

Southwest Airlines is joining the rest of the airline industry and charging checked bag fees. No more “bags fly free” – it’s signature advertising phrase – after May 28, 2025, except for top tier frequent flyers.

It’s a good sign that airlines are adding new routes for spring, summer and fall 2021.  It’s a sign that we are eager to get back to traveling, and that airlines are ready to serve our travel itch.
