What’s that saying that the early bird catches the worm. He/she also catches the lowest prices for next season’s multi-resort ski passes.
Here’s when prices go up again for the three biggies – Epic, Ikon and Mountain Collective, and the perks you lose in the next price increase.
By deadline date, so you know not to wait until the last minute, when the website may be overwhelmed and frozen, and toll-free human operators are similarly swamped.
Mountain Collective
May 14 is the next price increase.
Current prices are $605 for adults 19+, $485 for teens 13-19, and $205 for kids 12 and under, plus a bonus day at a resort of your choosing, and additional half-price tickets.
For that you get two days at each of a couple of dozen participating resorts in the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, New Zealand and South America.
Mountain Collective resorts include Jackson Hole, Alta, Chamonix, Niseko and Valle Nevado.
Mountain Collective also caps the number of passes it sells – and they are getting close to selling out.
There is no word on what the price increase will be, but it doesn’t matter – buy now to avoid the price increase and cut-off of sales at any price.
Epic Pass
Memorial Day, Monday, May 27 is the next price increase. We know the date – but not what the price increase will be.
Epic Pass is currently priced at $982; Epic Local Pass at $731; Northeast Value Pass at $600; Tahoe Value Pass at $529; Epic Military Pass at $172 for active and retired military, and $561 for veterans.
If you plan to hit the slopes 1-7 days next season, build your own Pass with an Epic Day Pass, starting at just $44 per day.
May 27 is the last day to you will receive two discounted Buddy Tickets that offer up to 45% savings on lift tickets to share with friends and family.
New next season, Pass Holders and their Buddy can skip the lift ticket line to redeem those tickets and head straight to the slopes.
May 27 also is the last chance to lock in your Epic Pass for a down payment of only $49, with the remaining Pass balance processed mid-September.
The Epic Pass offers skiing/riding at more than 40 destinations owned by Vail Resorts, including Vail, Breckenridge and Keystone in Colorado; Whistler/Blackcomb in Canada; Stowe and Mt. Snow in Vermont; and Crans-Montana, Switzerland.
Ikon Pass
Since sales opened in March, there was a price increase in April, so the next price increase is this fall. Alterra has not yet announced that specific date – when it does, we’ll notify you.
As with the Epic Pass, there are multiple choices. Current prices are –
Ikon Pass starting at $1,249 ($1,689 CAD) for five days each at 50+ destinations around the world.
Ikon Base Pass starting at $869 ($1,169 CAD) includes select blackout dates but gets you unlimited access to 14 destinations and 5 days of skiing at 36 destinations.
- Upgrade to the Ikon Base Plus for $250 ($340 CAD) to include Jackson Hole, Aspen Snowmass, Deer Valley, Alta and Snowbasin
Ikon Session Pass starting at $259 ($349 CAD)
Ikon Pass destinations include Alta and Snowbasin in Utah, Big Sky in Montana, Lake Louise in Canada, and Zermatt, Switzerland.

See you on the slopes!
