Rental cars are increasingly popular as more of us are taking road trips. And many of us a flying to a getaway city, then renting a vehicle to get around.
These are the top cities for rental reservations, so if you are planning to visit any time soon, make your reservations now, while there are vehicles available at affordable prices.
Orlando, Denver and Las Vegas are drawing the most rental car drivers, for their mix of city and outdoor attractions nearby which can be accessed by car.
It’s the second year in a row these are the top three car rental cities, according to a survey by travel insurance provider Allianz Partners.
According to their Top 10 Summer Rental Car Report, other top car rental cities are , Portland, Ore. (#5), Boston (#7) and San Diego (#10) join this year’s list, knocking off Anchorage, Miami and Phoenix.
The data of U.S. travelers’ 2022 summer car rentals was gathered by analyzing more than 27,000 online reservations at airport locations for the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day (May 27-Sept 8, 2022) made through partners offering Allianz Global Assistance.
“U.S. cities are on the road to recovery this summer as Americans revive the legendary road trip,” said Daniel Durazo, director of external communications at Allianz Partners USA.
