Forget filling your closet or your electronics collection with Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals.
Fill your 2018 bucket list instead. If you have the travel itch, you can save money with these great discounts on airfare, for travel through Spring 2019 and beyond.
Be aware of restrictions, including baggage limitations and black-out dates, and read the fine print before you book, because it could cost more to change your flight than the flight cost to begin with.
2018 Black Friday/Cyber Monday airline deals
In alphabetical order, because that’s the only fair way:
Aer Lingus
The Irish carrier is offering $50 off transatlantic flights from the East Coast and $100 flights from the West Coast during its “Black Flyday” sale.

Allegiant Air
On Cyber Monday only, the Las Vegas-based discounter is slashing fares up to 40 percent off, along with triple upgrades on rental cars and a third night free on vacation packages. Allegiant Mastercard holders receive an additional $20 off when booking with their card.
Allegiant Air also offers special program of FREE perks for active and retired military and their families, including free checked baggage and priority boarding. National Guard and military reserve members and their dependents also get the perks.

Cathay Pacific
One of the world’s top-rated airlines is having a Black Friday deal on fares to destinations throughout Asia, including Hong Kong and Bangkok. Roundtrip Economy seats are as low as $593. The sale includes $500 off Premium Economy and $1,000 off Business Class bookings.
Eligible fares include nonstops from the U.S. to Hong Kong as well as to connecting itineraries between the USA and Cathay’s other destinations in Asia and elsewhere.

Delta Air Lines
The deals offeri special fares and frequent-flyer offers from numerous U.S. cities to destinations in Europe and Australia. Sample fares include Los Angeles-Manchester, England for $839 round trip, Chicago-Rome for $999 round trip, and between New York’s JFK and Milan, Italy at $749. Frequent-flyer deals begin at 36,000 miles for round-trip economy tickets to Europe and at 70,000 miles for round-trip economy tickets to Australia.

El Al
Visit Israel for prices from $777 from the East Coast to Tel Aviv. Sample fares are $777 from Boston, $969 from Miami and $1,049 from Los Angeles.

Emirates
Another top-rated international airline, Emirates is offering special Black Friday fares for coach and business-class tickets, but not the luxurious first-class suites that Emirates is perhaps best known for.
Sample round-trip economy fares from U.S. cities include sale include Bangkok from $949, Dubai from $799, Athens from $499 and Delhi or Mumbai from $859, and Nairobi from $899.
Sale date: Book by Nov. 24
Travel dates: Departure Jan. 12 through May 9, with return travel occurring no later than June 30.
Norwegian Air
This discount carrier is taking 15% off its fares between the USA and Europe for its Black Friday/Cyber Monday discounts. Unlike other deals which require codes, Norwegian will reduce the fare automatically, no code needed at time of booking.
Advertised fares include: Newburgh, New York-Dublin, Ireland, from $114 one way; New York JFK-Paris Charles de Gaulle, from $145 one way; and, Denver-London Gatwick from $160. Despite the bargain fares, there’s FREE Wi-Fi aboard.

Ryanair
The Irish discounter is running a Cyber Week promotion, with different deals each day. Prices are as low as $5.68 between Dublin and Innsbruck. Tuesday’s offer: Flights starting at $5.99 for travel between December and February. The no-frills airline is also offering 10 percent off checked bags on bookings made this week.

- Travel dates: Vary by deal, but mostly between December and late winter or early spring. .
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS)
Round trip fares as low as $399 between the United States and Copenhagen, Denmark; Oslo, Norway; Stockholm, Sweden and Helsinki, Finland, and $499 to other European cities including Amsterdam and as low as $483 to Paris. SAS also is one of the few airlines to offer special “youth” discouts for travelers to age 26.

WOW
Iceland’s discount airline is calling it’s deal Purple Friday, to match the color of its logo and aircraft paint, with $99 deals to Europe from East Coast cities including New York, Boston and Miami, to a dozen destinations including Paris, Amsterdam, London, Frankfurt, Dublin, Copenhagen and Berlin.
The Cyber Monday sale is broader, with 40 percent off fares to all destinations if you join the free WOW loyalty club in advance or when you purchase your ticket. Use the promo WOWCYBERMONDAY to book.
Remember that WOW is a no-frills carrier and charges extra for everything, from seat assignments to carry-on bags, and that these are not non-stop flights. Everything to and from Europe stops in Rekjavick, Iceland’s capital city. .
- Sale dates: Nov. 20-25 for the “Purple Friday” deals and Nov. 26-28 for the CyberMonday sale.

Air Canada
The deal: Air Canada has rolled out numerous fares as part of its “Black Friday Worldwide Seat Sale.” Dozens of options are available from most of the airline’s U.S. destinations, but appeared to be only moderate or unremarkable bargains. It is notable that the sale includes international destinations beyond Canada, including the carrier’s destinations in South America, Asia and Europe. It’s also worth noting that on many routes, sale fares are restricted to Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Sun Country
The deal: Sun Country says it will load Black Friday fares to its website starting at 6 a.m. ET on Friday (Nov. 23). The ultra low-cost carrier did not reveal precise fares, but said they would begin at $49 one way from cities airports like Minneapolis/St. Paul; Dallas/Fort Worth; St. Louis; Madison, Wisconsin; Nashville, Tennessee; and Portland, Oregon. The company warns that “fares may sell out, so buyers are encouraged to shop early.”
Sale date: Nov. 23 (Friday)
Travel dates: Jan. 7 through March 7, but flights on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are excluded from the sale.
