ecoxplorer happy new year 2016

Happy New Year 2016.  As we look back on 2015, the top stories on on ecoXplorer viewed most often were warnings and advisories about scams and frauds, including travel and cyber security,  and best new car buys under $25,000.

So we’ll try to bring you more stories like that in 2016.  Here are the ecoXplorer Top 10 of 2015

With the killing last year of the beloved lion Cecil, our 2013 article on Big Game Hunter Jimmy John Litaud, founder of Jimmy John’s sandwich chain, rose back to the top of the list.  Thank you, Google, Yahoo, Bing, Facebook and Twitter for leading searchers of the words “big game hunter”, “Cecil the lion” and “killing lions” to ecoXplorer.

Bahamas free cruise fraud is a perennial favorite.  It used to come in the mail.  Now, the scammers phone you or email you.

Scams that arrive in your inbox include legitimate looking ones from bogus senders who are phishing for your financial information, even adding malware to your computer or mobile device if you click on anything, including the link to unsubscribe.  Our article guides you on how to spot the real from the fake.

We all want peace in the Mideast. Bogus Mideast peace charities just want your money.
