U-Haul contest

Let’s call this the Haul of Fame. If you’ve ever wanted to get your photo on the side of a U-Haul truck, now is your chance.

The company is launching a photo contest that also raises money for the Red Cross. Here’s how it works:

This offer is from November 2014

and is no longer in effect

From November 15 to December 31, 2014, when you Instagram a photo of your own personal moving adventure with the hashtag #UHaulFamous, the company will donate $1 to the American Red Cross, to a maximum of $30,000.

Your photo also will be entered in a contest for the chance to have it plastered – er, printed – on the side of one of 5,000 U-Haul vehicles trucking around North America.

Even if you don’t win the grand prize, there are twenty $100 U-Haul gift certificates, and an iPhone 6 giveaway.

Click here for all the U-Haul photo contest information. It’s also where you can track the progress and whereabouts of photos selected for printing.

About U-Haul –

Since 1945, U-Haul has been the choice for the do-it-yourself mover, with a large rental fleet of trucks, trailers and towing devices, plus storage facilities.  U-Haul also supplies alternative-fuel for vehicles and backyard barbecues as one of the nation’s largest retailers of propane.

About the American Red Cross –

The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies about 40 percent of the nation’s blood; teaches skills that save lives; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families. The Red Cross is a not-for-profit organization that depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its mission.
