It’s award season – for movies, TV shows, and for the best new cars of 2014.  These models are Red Carpet winners –

best 2014 car models2014 Chevrolet Impala – Named the Best of 2014 by Cars.com, for its improved performance and power, luxurious interior, top-of-the-line technology and value for price. “Once a bland sedan, the new Impala is not only the best in its class, but our top pick out of all brand-new 2014 models. The 2014 Impala is a truly transformed car,” said Patrick Olsen, Cars.com’s Editor-in-Chief.  Other nominees for the top award included the Acura MDX, Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Forte, Mazda3 and Mazda6.

2014 Acura MDX2014 Acura MDX – This luxury sport utility vehicle received the 2014 AutoGuide.com Utility Vehicle of the Year Award for its levels of luxury comfort and quietness, dynamic performance, class-leading fuel-economy ratings, and advanced safety and technology features. The 2014 MDX has also earned the highest available collision safety rating of TOP SAFETY PICK+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

2014 BMW 328i 2014 BMW 328i – The best-selling 3 Series continues to win awards, this time the Cars.Com Lifestyle Award as the Luxury Car of the Year, for its blend of luxury, sport and prestige.

2014 Kia Cadenza2014 Kia Cadenza – Named the International Car of the Year by Road & Travel Magazine for its all-new design, amenities and value in the premium sedan segment. Last year, the award was won by the 2013 Kia Optima mid-size sedan.

The awards were announced in Detroit, at the opening of the North American International Auto Show (#NAIAS).  If you are in the market for a new vehicle, these award winning 2014 models should be on your list.
