Reasons to Visit Milwaukee

Reasons to Visit Milwaukee

My two favorite things to do in Milwaukee are visiting the Harley-Davidson Museum and filling up on traditional German food and beer in Old Town. Milwaukee is a great place to visit any time, except when its crowded for a major event such as the first televised GOP debate of the 2024 Presidential Campaign on

Visit Elvis Presley’s Birthplace, Tupelo, Miss.

It’s Elvis Week at Graceland, with events memorializing him the week before the anniversary of his death on August 16, 1977. He’s also celebrated year-round in Tupelo, Mississippi where he was born and grew up. I loved my recent visit to the small Mississippi Delta hometown of The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll – and you

Visiting Hiroshima and Nagasaki

Visiting Hiroshima and Nagasaki

Hiroshima and Nagasaki, two cities devastated in World War II, have become symbols of peace and hope and important places for visitors to learn about the tragic consequences of the atomic bomb. Top Ten US Airlines

Top Ten US Airlines

Simply, some airlines are better than others for reliability, comfort and customer service, availability of lounges, how easy it is to book, change or cancel a flight, even how friendly it is to family seating and pets. If you are traveling soon, these are the top ten US airlines, for all those reasons, and more.

Churchill, Canada: More Polar Bear & Whales Than People

Churchill, Canada: More Polar Bear & Whales Than People

ecoXplorer Evelyn Kanter visits Churchill, Canada, where polar bear outnumber humans.

Standing on its hind legs, an adult male polar bear can reach 18 feet or more, so you don’t want to be in a cute little subcompact car, or even a pick-up, that a curious bear could push over or climb on. The “tundra buggies” that carry tourists for close-up views of these phenomenal animals are bigger and tougher than the bears. Think school bus on steroids.
