If you are a vintage car lover, racing fan, Porsche fan, or all three, this new FREE mobile app from the editors of AutoWeek magazine will make you very vroom happy. The Essential Sportscar: 50 years of Porsche includes articles, photos, even video of famous Porsche cornering and handling on windy mountain roads and tracks.
Of course, there’s video of the new Porsche 918 Spyder super car (pictured above). Even though it’s a TV commercial or the kind of thing you would see at an auto show, it’s still gorgeous and fun to watch.
And there’s an entire section of the app that takes you inside Porsche’s motorsports center, including a look at its newest Formula One entry, the 919 Hybrid. Yes, a hybrid Porsche racecar.
Just search 50 years of Porsche or Essential Sportscar 50 years of Porsche on your mobile device to find the app, and download. That’s what I did.
You cold also visit – virtually or in person – the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, as I have done several times.
