Celebrate the season by choosing your Halloween pumpkin at one of the many pumpkin patches in NYC and the Tri-State area. It’s a great weekend excursion, and you’ll also find fresh apple cider, hayrides for the kids and more.
For many family-owned farms, the pick-your-own pumpkin season helps keep them in business, so you are doing good while having fun. That’s a two-fer.
Unless otherwise specified, these pumpkin patches are open through Oct. 30 or 31.

Governors Island
Pumpkin Point, Governors Island’s annual pumpkin patch and fall festival, returns to Nolan Park for 2025.
Visitors are invited to pick out their own pumpkins October 25 & 26, 2025, from 10am to 5pm. Please limit pumpkins to one per person per household, and bring your own tote bag/reusable bag to hold your pumpkins.
Costumes are highly encouraged, with trick-or-treating at Nolan Park’s historic houses on both days (as supplies last). Governors Island food vendors will be on-site with fall-themed food and drink available for purchase from Deploy Coffee, Grey’s Donuts, Taco Vista, Little Eva’s, Pizzeria Fantastica, Brig’s Sweet Shop, Rosie’s Empanadas, and more.
Please leave extra time to board and ride the ferry. We recommend arriving at least 20 minutes before your scheduled departure. The Trust for Governors Island will operate special event ferries from Red Hook/Atlantic Basin and Brooklyn Bridge Park/Pier 6 on Pumpkin Point event days to accommodate anticipated heavy visitorship. These will operate in addition to regularly scheduled ferries from 10 South Street in Lower Manhattan and regular NYC Ferry service via the South Brooklyn route.
