Help a US military family get a FREE Christmas tree this season. Trees for Troops gives US military families around the world a free real Christmas tree. Over the past 10 years Trees for Troops has shipped more than 157,000 Christmas trees to service members in every branch of the military to bases in 17 countries, including in war zones and to bases here in the USA.
This year more than 18,000 live trees will be delivered to military families through Trees for Troops. FedEx, a partner since the program’s inception in 2005, ships the trees for FREE.

If you purchase your live Christmas tree this year between December 4-6, ask if the Christmas tree farm where you shop is participating in Trees for Troops. If so, you can purchase a tree on behalf of a military family and even write a note of thanks which will be delivered with the tree.
Last year Americans donated more than 6,000 Christmas trees. Another option is to go online and donate through the Trees for Troops website.
Military families who want to sign up to receive a free Christmas tree need to sign up immediately. The Family Assistance Department is handling most of the tree signups on military bases. Delivery of trees domestically starts December 2, so interested military members should contact their Family Assistance Department as soon as possible.
Trees for Troops deliveries are through December 11.
