Apocalypse Nirvana EV SUV is $150,000

Apocalypse Nirvana is a tough new EV truck that costs $150,000_ecoxplorer

The words Apocalypse and Nirvana don’t necessarily go together, but that’s the name of this tough, hulking new off-road EV.

It has a starting price of $150,000, for a gi-normous 850HP power plant, a sportscar-like 0-60 MPH in just  three seconds and a 350-mile range on its equally gi-normous batteries.

The Nirvana is described as an SUV, 4×4, 6×6, off-roader and truck, and an “all-electric beast” by Apocalypse Manufacturing, which created it.  For sure, it is all of those.

It features a fully custom, handcrafted angular body, coated with full Kevlar paint job that gives the truck a rugged look while also protecting it  from scratches, rust and erosion, while being easy to clean.

I’m assuming it’s also bullet-proof, or at least bullet-resistant, since law enforcement officers wear Kevlar vests.

With almost 350-mile range, industry-leading fast charge time, 11,000lbs towing capacity and hands-free highway driving, the Apocalypse Nirvana blends luxury and utility.

The press release we received says  its design and features will  “enlighten the automotive industry”, but doesn’t explain just how.

The Nirvana also features a dynamic computer-controlled suspension built from scratch and state-of-the-art torque vectoring.

The truck comes with truck-sized 38″x15.5″ tires mounted on 20″x12″ SFJ wheels, a hand-made rollcage and sidesteps, and front and rear skid plates to protect against off-road terrains.

Standing tall, it clocks in at a at a height of 81″, a width of 91″ and a total length of 214″.  Luckily, there’s also a “step up” bar for people like me who clock in at a height of just 60″.

There’s a double row of LED lights above the windshield, for late-night off roading, and a protective panel that slides over the headlights when the going gets rough.

The cockpit is all digital, as befits an EV.  There’s a huge screen for the driver for essentials such as speed and battery life, and a large infotainment screen for everything else.

If it reminds you of the Tesla Cybertruck, you are not the only one.  However, this is really a souped up Rivian R1T, according to the gearheads at Top Gear. The $150,000 starting price includes the Rivian.

Clarification – it’s offiicially $149,999, but why quibble over one dollar.  And the name Nirvana is quite possibly clever word salad for the name Rivian.

Apocalypse is based in Palm Beach, Florida, more famous for millionaires and their Ferraris and Lamborghinis than for such an off-road beast.

But it’s known for  for creating custom versions of Jeep, Ford Bronco and Ram trucks, including 6-wheel drive models, with a reputation for being the leader in that segment of the conversion industry.  However, this is the first time the manufacturer has worked on a Rivian.

The company has been publicized on ESPN and in Robb Report, as well as TMZ and other news outlets when Dallas Mavericks/NBA star Luka Doncic appeared on live TV driving his Apocalypse 6×6 truck.

Star Quality

The company has also been featured in the major Paramount motion picture “The Lost City,” starring Sandra Bullock, Brad Pitt, Channing Tatum and Daniel Radcliffe and had one of their trucks venture over 3,000 miles as a participant in the infamous Gumball 3000 race. However, this is the first time the manufacturer has worked on a Rivian.

The Apocalypse Nirvana serves as a testament to the company’s innovation, superior engineering and desire to achieve inner peace while leaving the competition in pieces, again according to its press release.

The company known for constructing innovative trucks to combat all on/off-road scenarios, has announced the launch of their most ambitious project to date: the Apocalypse Nirvana. This groundbreaking off-road and on-road vehicle showcases the company’s commitment to exploring all powerplant options, while continuing to push their functions to the limit.

Corporate Statement About the Apocalypse Nirvana

“Plainly stated, people have opinions when it comes to electric vehicles, so I had my apprehensions about Apocalypse tackling a project of this derision, but I honestly fell in love with this vehicle from the first time I sat behind the steering wheel,” said Joseph Ghattas, Founder and CEO of Apocalypse Manufacturing and its sister company, South Florida Customs, also known as SoFlo Customs.

“It’s fast, with raging power and teeth-clenching torque, so really, I wanted to give it the look it deserved to match the powerplant. Make it big, with a lift that works with the original equipment provided, so that’s what we did and I feel this vehicle represents our dedication to redefining the concept of luxury off-road super trucks. Why do EV vehicles have to look sterile or bland, stripped of their masculinity? This is a badass truck, it’s time it looks and acts like one.”
