$25 room nights: The five-star Phoenician resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, is celebrating its 25th anniversary with $25 room nights. Through September, stay one night and your second night is $25, and the deal repeats for each additional night you stay. So, for a six night stay, three of those nights would be $25 per night. And there’s more to this good deal, with room rates lowered to $199.
Wine flies home free: Up to a case of Oregon wine can fly home FREE on Alaska Airlines, thanks to the new Oregon Wines Fly Free program. Domestic Alaska Airlines passengers can check one case of wine at no charge on their return flight from Portland, Eugene, Medford or Redmond, Oregon, or from Walla Walla, Wash., between Sept. 10 and Nov. 20. In addition, passengers showing their Alaska Airlines boarding passes within a week of their arrival in Oregon will receive complementary tastings at any of more than 180 participating Oregon wineries. The Oregon Wines Fly Free program is a partnership between Alaska Airlines, the Oregon Wine Board (OWB) and Travel Oregon.
Free breakfast, tours at Grand Canyon: A special end of summer package at the South Rim gives you accommodations, breakfast, tour and retail discounts for less than the typical cost of just the room. The deal is available Aug. 25 to Sept. 12 (except for Labor Day Weekend Aug. 30 to Sept. 1) at Maswik Lodge or Yavapai Lodge and includes breakfast, one in-park motorcoach tour for two and discounts in Xanterra gift shops of up to 20 percent. The rate at Maswik Lodge is $174 and at Yavapai Lodge it’s $159, both based on double occupancy. Additional guests are $9 plus tax each. Included tours are choice of a Hermits Rest motorcoach tour in the morning or Sunset motorcoach tour in the afternoon.
