Visit more than 200 museums, zoos, aquariums, botanical gardens and other cultural institutions for FREE on the first full weekend of every month, thanks to the Museums on Us program.
Also, museums including in NYC offer FREE admission on the first Friday of the month.
The Museums on Us program is a perk for holders of a Bank of America or Merrill credit card or debit card. Just present your active card with a photo ID for one free general admission.
Unfortunately, the free admission is only for the cardholder – it does not apply to other members of your group, including your kids. Everyone but you still must pay admission.
And the freebie is only for general admission, not for ticketed add-ons such as IMAX movies or special exhibitions. or fundraising events.
Even so, it could be worth getting the card just for the free admission.
The Museums on Us program has been in effect for the past 25 years, and includes some of the top museums in the USA – such as –
Boston – Museum of Fine Art
New York City – Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum
