If you haven’t already purchased your Ikon Pass for the upcoming ski/snowboard season, do it now before prices go up – again – on Oct. 17. – for 58 destinations across the USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.
The pass also includes discounts on heli-skiing and gear and services from top outdoor clothing and travel brands.
The lowest prices are always in Spring – that’s when I bought my Ikon Pass – and go up again around Memorial Day. The Autumn price increase is the last one, and when passes are most expensive.
Epic Pass raised its prices again on Labor Day.
The Ikon Pass had its first price hike in May and has remained at $1,259 since then. It goes up a couple of hundred bucks on Oct. 17.
The renewal discount also expired in May, so returning pass holders no longer get that $100 or $50 break. And first-time buyers lost the chance to use the 2024/2025 pass for the rest of the 2024 season, which lasted until June at some resorts.
The Ikon Base Pass is currently $929 for unlimited skiing at 16 resorts with blackout dates and up to five days at 39 more.
New This Season
The price now includes Schweitzer, Idaho, which Ikon Pass parent company Alterra Mountain Co. purchased recently, and up to seven days at 39 more resorts worldwide.
New for this winter, Taos has moved off of the Ikon Base and available only on the full Ikon Pass and the Ikon Base Plus. Also new is that Taos is no longer requiring reservations.
Deer Valley, which just announced a massive expansion that will take place over the next few seasons, will require reservations this winter.
Reservations are now open for Deer Valley and other Ikon Pass resorts which require them.
- Get First Tracks access to trails before the lifts open on one designated morning per month in January, February, and March 2025 at participating destinations.
